The new Ford S-MAX offers you a choice of Ford's most powerful and refined high performance engines: the innovative new, ultra sporty 2.5-litre 220PS with 320Nm of torque, or the diesel 2.0-litre 140PS with 320Nm of torque offering excellent fuel economy and low emissions.

Suspension
Dynamic and manoeuvrable Ford engineers' ingenuity and expertise have created Interactive Vehicles Dynamics Control (IVDC) with continuously controlled damping, an incredibly sensitive and modern suspension layout with Normal, Sport, or Comfort settings. Integrated with the enhanced, sporty steering capability in the new Ford S-MAX, the result for you is an adjustable system with world-class road handling and control that automatically adapts to suit the road and driving conditions.

Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control's intelligent radar technology calculates your distance from vehicles ahead of you, giving you an audible and visual alert if you're getting too close and then automatically decelerating to put you at a safe distance. When the traffic ahead speeds up, you automatically return to cruising speed. Select from a range of 5 distance gaps between 1 to 3 seconds at which to be alerted.
